Welcome to Dorset's all inclusive choir
Chrissy Foster, Musical Director at BitterSweet Harmony, has created a choir that celebrates diversity. Our Ethos is to spread joy through the love of music whilst creating a fun, welcoming environment for all. Everybody has a voice, a singing voice, you just need to believe, and you will find it.
No auditions are required for places – everyone that joins immediately becomes part of our BitterSweet Harmony community.
When joining us, you’ll learn 3-part easy harmonies from songs across all decades, plus, you’ll have the opportunity to perform at amazing locations across Dorset and beyond.
Since launching in 2013, our members have supported one another through tough times and have been there to celebrate the great times too.

Since launching in 2013, our members have supported one another through tough times and have been there to celebrate the great times too. Since Covid hit our weekly online zoom lessons have provided a space for our choir to connect, support one another and have fun. We look forward to returning to meeting in person from the 20th May (outdoors) with indoor sessions returning from the 21st June. Our choir is vaccinated and follow all Covid guidelines.

Singing in a choir is proven to give us an emotional lift. Singing reduces stress and anxieties and contributes to improving your wellbeing and mental health by releasing endorphins.
If you’re looking for an activity that makes you feel good and helps to lift your spirits, Chrissy really does bring light into the darkest of rooms and has a fantastic contagious energy.
Chrissy has launched free choir introduction sessions, for those who would like to get a feel for their voice and the choir, and also runs popular 1-1 confidence, projection and voice workshops for just £30 for an hour’s session. These can be held via zoom or in person if you’re local.

BitterSweet Harmony Fundraising
Every year we take great pride in raising funds for local charities. We’ve attended many charity events and enjoy running our own – including our annual community choir concert featuring other choirs across our area with a chosen charity benefiting each year.
We are a not for profit community choir, so travel and equipment costs can sometimes be a challenge.
We have created a fundraising page for BitterSweet Harmony Choir. Any donations to here will go towards the next community choir concert, transporting our choir to events & equipment costs.
